Freight email trends
Each month, what the email reaching freight companies tried to do: change where payment goes, come from a domain one letter off a real company’s, lead to a sign-in page. Counted by LaneScout Mail Guard across the carriers and brokers it protects. Patterns only: no company, sender or email is ever named.
Not published yet for . A month is published once at least 3 companies and 1,000 emails stand behind it, so that no figure can describe one company’s mail.

Which tactics they matched
Each flagged email counts once, under the tactic its signals point to most clearly. A tactic is listed only when at least 5 emails at 2 or more companies matched it; the rest are under “Other”.

What the flagged emails did
An email can do more than one of these, so the shares add up to more than 100%.

How this is counted
- What is counted. Every new email in every mailbox a company protects with Mail Guard is checked. An email that raises signals is flagged “Worth verifying” or “Verify first”. An email that reached several people at one company counts once.
- Whose email. Only companies LaneScout has vetted. A month is published once at least 3 companies and 1,000 checked emails stand behind it, and a line once at least 5 emails at 2 or more companies stand behind it.
- What is never published. No company, mailbox, sender, domain, subject line or text of any email: only counts and shares.
- What a flag is. A flag says an email has signals worth checking, such as a domain registered last week or a request to change bank details. It is not a finding that the email or its sender is not genuine. “Confirmed not genuine” counts only the emails a team checked and answered.
What to do with this
The tactics at the top of the list are the ones to brief dispatch and accounting on this month. For each one, the check is the same: confirm through a phone number or address you already have, never one from the email.
