Board Tweaks for DAT One: Privacy Policy

Effective October 28, 2026

Board Tweaks for DAT One (“the extension”) is a free Chrome extension published by M8 LLC, the company behind LaneScout. This policy covers only that extension. The LaneScout extension and LaneScout Mail Guard have their own privacy policy.

The short version

What the extension does

On one.dat.com only, the extension adds a stylesheet that wraps the search tab strip onto multiple rows and, if you leave it on, applies a dark theme. It does not read, copy or transmit anything shown on the page, including loads, rates, companies or contacts.

Information we collect

None. The extension has no analytics, no tracking and no account, and it makes no network requests of its own.

Settings stored in your browser

The extension saves three on/off settings: tab wrapping, dark theme, and whether to show the Mail Guard tip. They are kept in Chrome’s built-in extension storage (chrome.storage.sync), which Chrome may sync between your own signed-in browsers under Google’s terms. A copy is also kept in the browser’s local storage for one.dat.com so the right look applies as the page loads. These settings never reach M8 LLC.

Links to our other products

The extension’s popup and welcome page include a short tip about LaneScout Mail Guard. Clicking it opens this website. The link carries standard campaign tags (for example utm_source=board-tweaks) so we can tell the visit came from the extension; it contains no personal information. Pages on this site are covered by the LaneScout privacy policy.

Permissions

Changes to this policy

If the extension ever starts handling data differently, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the effective date above will change.
